As Vincentians working with parishes around the country, we use the image of the burning ember to communicate our sense of mission. In the words of St. Paul to Timothy “That is why I am reminding you now to fan into a flame the gift that God gave you when I laid my hands on you” 2 Timothy 1:6
Rekindling embers is a very appropriate image for the renewal of parish communities in Ireland today. Embers possess the material and energy with which people can build a new fire.
The Vincentian Community is aware of a recent newspaper article that makes reference to two Vincentian priests who were teachers in St Paul’s College and St Vincent’s Castleknock College in the past.
