To be meek does not mean to be overly submissive or to let someone walk all over you. What Vincent meant by meekness was the ability to handle anger, either by suppressing it or expressing it in a manner governed by love. It is a combination of gentleness and firmness.
We practice it through:
- the ability to handle anger positively
- approachability and gentleness
- enduring offences with forgiveness and courage
