The work of a Vincentian priest is rich and varied. The days are full. You may say that the levels of destitution that Vincent encountered on the streets of Paris do not exist in modern Ireland anymore, but the poor are always there if you only look. Such are the needs that we encounter that the work spills over into the evenings. Often the work to which you are assigned becomes your day job and other apostolic works are carried out in the evenings and during spare time.
